Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan makes it to Agoda.com's annual list of outstanding hotel spas
MANILA, Philippines – Agoda.com, Asia’s leading hotel booking site and part of Nasdaq-listed Priceline Group (Nasdaq:PCLN), has named Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan in Cebu as one of the most outstanding hotel spas. This is an annual list of exceptional hotel spas, where customers can relax, unwind, and experience rejuvenating treatments for body and mind.
The five star hotel located in the one of the country’s top tourist destination, has made it to the global list alongside with Japan’s Hyakuna Garan, Spain’s Hotel 1898, Greece’s Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso, Taiwan’s Silks Place Taroko, Italy’s Rocco Forte Hotel de Russie, Cambodia’s Borei Angkor Resort & Spa and Turkey’s Gardens of Babylon Resort.
After consulting hotel specialists and industry insiders, these eight properties were chosen based on the overall experience they offer, which includes everything from the design and layout of the spa itself, to the types of treatments on the menu, to the landscapes, vistas, and environment surrounding the hotel.
Crimson was able to stand out because of their well-known Aum Spa, a name taken both from the Hindu mantra “Omâ€, where the treatments are Authentic, Unique, and Meaningful, which are performed by licensed specialists. The Spa offers an array of invigorating services performed by licensed specialists who undergo regular training. This is the perfect way to invigorate after a long day in the sun.
“We’re proud to be part of Agoda’s list of best hotels spas this year, more so that we are the only one from Cebu and for that matter the Philippines. It’s great to know and be recognized to be at par with other known spas all over the world. With this recognition, together with Agoda.com, we hope to encourage more local and foreign tourists to visit Cebu and discover Aum Spa and its world class service,†shares Area General Manager James Montenegro of Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan.
John Brown, Agoda.com’s Chief Product Officer, said: “Travelers these days are particular about what a great spa should offer. People increasingly make booking decisions based on unique, creative spa treatments such as the imported oils and scrubs in the Silks Place Taroko, the internationally-trained staff at the Crimson Resort Mactan, or the focus on thalassotherapy at the Divani Apollon Palace. Each of the spas in the list have been designed with the modern traveler in mind and are likely to be one of the high points of any stay, whether it’s a vacation or a business trip.â€
Just early this year, Philippine’s beach destination Boracay has been named favorite for relaxation (#1) and nightlife (#3) in a customer survey conducted by Agoda.com. Angeles Beach Club Hotel in Angeles City was also named as one of the Over the Top hotels for 2012.
