China Eastern debuts in Manila

MANILA, Philippines - China Eastern Airlines announced the launch of its initial service in Manila last Sept. 18, as one of the three major airlines in mainland China that will commence their Manila operations starting Oct. 19.

Its fleet of more than 430 long-haul and short-haul operated flights provides a competition in the market offering daily to Asia, Americas, Canada and Europe with Shanghai as its hub.

An official member of SkyTeam, China Eastern’s Manila Business Office will be led by its general manager Channe Chen.

Bearing the concept of “World-class hospitality with Eastern charm,” China Eastern will create illustrious travel experiences for global customers with an “accurate, delicate and precise” service quality.

It will have a daily service between Manila and Shanghai and major cities in Asia, North America, Europe and local destinations in mainland China. Manila to Shanghai flights will be operated with A320 aircraft with 146 seats. 

For long-haul flights such as Europe, all flat-bed seat service is available using all new Airbus A332 aircraft with state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment system.

For Web booking from Oct. 19 to Nov. 30 only, travelers can have big discounts and special deals on round-trip (Manila-Shanghai-Manila). Reservation and purchase should be 14 days prior to departure. No visa is required in Shanghai for all travelers with transit time of 72 hours.
