A taste of Korea, a taste of harmony

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Eager shoppers were treated to the finest display of Korean delicacy as ASSI, a leading distributor of Korean food products in the Philippines, formally ushered in the Korean Food Festival at the Landmark Supermarket recently. Opening the program was a lively performance showcasing genuine Korean talent by traditional festival drumbeaters. Hosted by Pat Natividad in cultural couture, the event’s highlights included a congratulatory message by Korean Ambassador Lee Hyuk, a warm welcome by Kenneth Keng of the Landmark Group, and an expression of commitment by the president of the Korean Chamber of Commerce Philippines. Featured products included Binggrae Ice Cream and Banana Milk, Nongshim Noodles, CJ Dumplings, and Sempio Soy. ASSI’s commitment of bridging two cultures through flavors that bind, ‘Taste of Harmony’ stayed true to the promise of delighting the Filipino palate with a culinary experience that is in itself an adventure to the senses. Shown cutting the ceremonial ribbon opening the festival are Jang Ik Jin, UKBA president; Hwang Seong Un, KCC director; Anthony Cheng, Landmark president; Ambassador Lee; and Shin Jong Chul, ASSI president.
