The BSA Tower: Shopping, business, with living space to spare

Dandi Galvez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Finding the best location adjacent to trendy shops, restaurants, entertainment venues and events in a central business district can be daunting. You have to consider cost and accessibility. However, you cannot go wrong with Makati City, home of the chic Glorietta and Greenbelt malls — and a certain special hotel conveniently located right beside them. Mere steps away from the country’s major shopping and commercial locales is the BSA Tower Serviced Residences.

Located 50 meters away from the Greenbelt 5 shopping center is the 36-story BSA Tower, a serviced residence with high-ceilinged, spacious apartments for individual guests, small groups or families. Available room types include the studio and one- and two-bedroom apartments, with the largest rooms having a floor area exceeding 100 square meters.  What’s more, guests can make full use of complete kitchen facilities available in all apartments. Expect provisions such as refrigerators, stoves, microwave ovens, glassware and cutlery, with larger units having dining or living room amenities to receive guests.

More affordable than deluxe hotels, the large BSA Tower apartments are just part of the appeal. The great location offers so much opportunity just outside the lobby doors for guests who simply want to shop, dine and relax at the many nearby entertainment options available. A few steps away is the expansive Ayala Malls covering 50 hectares of facilities. The complex includes the Greenbelt, Glorietta, and SM shopping malls, landscaped parks, cinemas and more. Just outside your door is Greenbelt 5, where high-end shops such as Escada, Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, Hugo Boss, TWG Tea, Mossimo, Bally and Zara call home.

If business is your mission, the Ayala Triangle, Philippine Stock Exchange and the bustling street of Ayala Avenue are just an eight- to 10-minute walk away. Makati, being the country’s financial center, has the highest concentration of multinational and local corporations in the country. Major banks and foreign embassies are all close by.

Jake Mercado II, sales and marketing director of Quantum Hotels and Resorts which manages the BSA Tower, says, “The BSA Tower is like a destination property in the center of Makati. One of the good factors is our great location and access to all the major activities of the city — leisure activities where people are going — mainly at the Greenbelt and Glorietta malls.” He adds, “Last week’s fashion show launch near Ayala Museum was just a five-minute walk away.”

That kind of location is always an advantage, especially when many kinds of retail establishments you want to see and go to are just a few steps away from the entrance of the BSA Tower whose major renovation was completed last month. With a spruced-up facade and interiors, the BSA Tower continues providing the same quality to its serviced residence guests, but remains a primary option for those watching their travel budget.

Mercado adds that there is great value in this property for people who want to experience the variety of the city. “There’s no need to have lunch or dinner at the tower so the alternative is to go to the restaurants across the street: Western, Italian, authentic Chinese restaurants, Thai and Vietnamese food, with scores of others to choose from.”

Other services include bell service, assisted check-ins, and laundry service. The outstanding BSA housekeeping staffers polish floors, wash dishes and clean each serviced residence even on Sundays and holidays.

Aside from the renovations, the hotel recently rolled out its new online booking system on its website. Mercado says, “Quantum developed a real-time booking system where you can reserve and pay for a room instantly. With a credit card or via PayPal, you can confirm the room instantly.”

Offering an option to other more expensive deluxe hotels, the BSA Tower is offering special rate promos for the rainy season. Rates start at P2,600 net for the studio room; P3,100 for the one-bedroom apartment; and P4,500 for the two-bedroom apartment with a maximum of four persons. These rates include breakfast for two, free transfer from hotel to airport and vice versa if you book a minimum of two nights, free Wi-Fi access, and much more. If you book on a weekend, there’s an additional 15 percent discount, making it a double promotion which runs until July 31.

The BSA Tower continues to delight its guests and clients in many different ways, providing a home that truly feels like home and a prime location with true value for money.
