Explorer’s Lounge marks first year
MANILA, Philippines - After a successful first year of operation, Explorer’s Lounge is taking on a new concept beyond being a coffee shop and business center.
Taking from its name, it now poises itself as a comfortable lounge where patrons can relax and enjoy local and imported delicacies, together with a bookstore offering imported travel guides, language learning products, as well as gift and novelty items.
Explorer’s menu focuses on imported German specialties as well as other European and Asian culinary delights, aside from its successful and bestselling Beef Salpicao and homemade smoked salmon on cream cheese sandwich.
“We just had our Octoberfest treats last month with German beer, sausages, Bavarian pretzels, and German-style potato salad,” says service crew supervisor Leslie Sales. “Now we are offering Christmas specialties like original German Christstollen, Spekulatius cookies and other related snacks like Milka chocolate. Our mission is to bring the foreign spirit with all the goodies from abroad to our guests here.”
“Filipinos love these foreign delicacies so much, and since I tasted them I can only agree,” Leslie adds.
Plans after the Christmas season include offering more choices in terms of imported spirits, wines, Weizenbier (the typical German wheat beer), and Apfelkorn and Berliner Weisse (German beer mixed with syrup).
Special offers and promos will be on constant offer. One such promo that will run until yearend is a 25 percent discount on the purchase of Vector Portable GPS navigation device (powered by Accu-map), plus a free glass of a drink of your choice.
With business going well, Explorer’s Lounge is slated to open two more branches in 2013.
Explorer’s Lounge is located at the third floor of The Podium, ADB Avenue, Ortigas CBD. For inquiries, call (+632) 637-0716 or log on to www.explorers-lounge.com. It is open during mall hours.
