Holiday Inn celebrates 60th year
MANILA, Philippines - Holiday Inn turns 60 this month, and everyone is invited to join in the worldwide celebration for this iconic brand at Holiday Inn Manila Galleria.
Six decades after the first Holiday Inn hotel opened in Memphis Tennessee in the United States, Holiday Inn Manila Galleria is one of the 3,375 Holiday Inn brand family hotels around the world.
What began as a roadside inn has become a household name across the globe, and a pioneer of many firsts for the hotel industry — such as the first hotel company to be asked to help run the Athletes Village at the London 2012 Olympics.
“For us, Holiday Inn’s 60th is a celebration of firsts that have kept our hotels fresh, and the brand so popular. Here in Manila, it is also a great opportunity for us to share the excitement with our community and regular guests, and celebrate our own firsts,” said general manager Tuncay Bockin.
“Some of our own first includes being the first hotel in Ortigas area to provide spacious accommodations with kids’ stay and eat program — children under the age of 12 stay and eat for free. Guests are delighted that Holiday Inn has something to offer for the entire family. Holiday Inn’s 60th is a chance for us to share these firsts and invite others to experience what keeps our guests coming back from time to time,” Bockin added.
To celebrate its Holiday Inn’s 60th anniversary, Holiday Inn Manila Galleria is inviting guests to enjoy its celebratory offering until Aug. 31. This includes 60 percent discount in any of its two-bedroom and penthouse suites and P60 nett food and beverage treats.
To culminate this iconic milestone, celebrate at Bar One on Aug. 31 with prices starting at P60 nett.
“We will also be having a fund raising for the ‘habagat’ victims — 60 centavos will be donated for every like on our Facebook page facebook/himanila. We are celebrating Holiday Inn’s 60th anniversary with those who mean the most to us — the guests and the community,” said Bockin.
