MANILA, Philippines - The World’s largest hotel chain has created a new “super hotel” in Manila.
Best Western International (BWI) has merged its three Best Western hotels in the Makati business and entertainment district to form an all-encompassing destination — the new Best Western Plus Antel Hotel — making it the first Best Western Plus property in the Philippines
Merged to form this super hotel were the Best Western Antel Spa Suites, Best Western The A. Venue Suites, and Best Western Plus Serenity Suites.
“Our three hotels in Makati City already had gained an excellent reputation and a strong following among both domestic and international visitors,” said Glenn de Souza, Best Western International’s vice president for international operations in Asia and the Middle East.
“Combining the three hotels will enable us to offer an increased range of facilities and amenities to our guests, and to achieve significant operational synergies. This, in turn, will enable us to better focus our resources and offer the best possible experience to our customers,” De Souza added.
The new Best Western Plus Antel Hotel will thus offer a total of 210 rooms, all non-smoking and with balconies.
A range of upscale in-room amenities includes kitchenettes with refrigerators and microwaves, as well as work desks and complimentary in-room Internet access.
The expanded hotel also offers a broad selection of guest facilities, including eight function rooms, three lobby lounges, two restaurants, two swimming pools, two fitness centers, and a spa, game room, and children’s playground.
Best Western Plus Antel Hotel will also be a haven for corporate activities and events, with a ballroom and meeting rooms accommodating up to 200 guests, backed up by equipment rental, wedding planning and secretarial services with free Internet connectivity in all areas of the hotel.
With the merger of the three Makati hotels, Best Western International now offers five distinct properties in the Philippines, offering close to 700 rooms and suites across four destinations.
Best Western’s expansion in the Philippines will continue at pace in the months and years ahead, with firm plans for the group’s first ever properties in Cebu and Angeles City.
The Best Western International provides marketing, reservations and operational support to over 4,100 independently owned and operated member hotels in about a hundred countries and territories worldwide.
An industry pioneer since 1946, Best Western has grown into an iconic brand that hosts some 400,000 guests worldwide nightly.
