HK Disneyland to offer tour packages at Travel Madness
MANILA, Philippines - In an unprecedented move, Hong Kong Disneyland will not only join a Philippine international travel expo for the first time, but will also offer attractive tour packages in partnership with local travel agents during the event.
The theme park’s tour packages to be offered at the Travel Madness Expo 2012 on July 20 to 22 are Hong Kong Disneyland ( HKDL) park ticket, three-day, two-night land arrangement with HKDL one-day ticket, or with one-night stay at Disney’s Hollywood Hotel and HKDL two-day ticket.
Prices of the tour packages will be revealed during the expo by HKDL and its participating travel agent partners, according to vice president Ma. Paz Alberto of Travel Innovators Inc., organizer of Travel Madness Expo.
Alberto reported having received word from HKDL’s exclusive Philippine service provider WDTN-Lacturan Holdings about the tour packages, which would highlight the theme park’s expansion to five magical lands and provide longer stay to visitors.
“The latest to open among the five is the Toy Storyland, featuring the works of world-famous Andy’s Toys, an American shop known for its antique and vintage toy cars,” Alberto said, citing an update from WDTN-Lacturan sales manager Thesa Molino.
“Toy Storyland opened in November last year and made it possible for HKDL guests to have playtime with Andy’s toys and experience three new larger-than-life rides,” Alberto quoted Molino as saying.
HKDL’s four other magical lands are Fantasyland, Adventureland, Tomorrowland (Spaceland), and Americana (Mainstreet, USA).
Another HKDL magical land to open this month is Grizzly Gulch.
HKDL’s first-ever participation in a Philippine travel trade show may have been inspired by the theme park’s rosy performance last year.
“So, the Travel Madness Expo promises to give guests a magical experience from HKDL,” Alberto said.
HKDL thus joins the ranks of many other global industry players participating in the Travel Madness Expo, including prominent international airlines, wholesale travel agencies, popular global destinations, theme parks, hotels, resorts, restaurants, shopping malls, retirement communities, and many other sectors of the travel and tourism industry.
“We are honored to have the global industry’s big names in the Travel Madness Expo’s exhibitor list, which is growing by the day,” said Travel Innovators president Raymond Tee.
“The expo is designed as a one-stop shop for the traveling public, and a marketing hub for the national and global tourism supply chain,” Tee said.
The expo includes business matching and networking for marketing tie-ups, joint ventures, supply contracts, advance bookings, wholesale and retail travel transactions and many other lucrative and long-term deals.
Earlier, Tee said the event was conceptualized to enable every participant to conduct both industry and consumer marketing on-site all at the same time, and generate business volume that could tide them over the low season.
The expo is supported by Citibank as official credit card sponsor, and Amadeus, Abacus and Galileo as official global distribution systems.
