Malaysian students visit Lyceum-Manila
Manila, Philippines - Tourism students from Taylor’s University in Malaysia, the largest and most respected tourism school in Southeast Asia, recently visited their counterparts from the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU)-Manila campus.
The visitors spent the day exchanging ideas with LPU’s Tourism students, especially those related to their academic activities, while the hosts gladly gave them an insight into Philippine culture, showcasing the country’s tourist destinations.
The student-visitors, a happy mix of Malaysians, Chinese, Indian, Italian and one from Uzbekistan, were also very interested to see the brand-new facilities of LPU-Manila, specifically its own training hotel, The Bayleaf Intramuros, and the new and ultra-modern LPU Culinary Institute.
The visit was prompted by a trip to Malaysia made earlier this year by select LPU Tourism students, to attend the PATA Youth Forum, which was hosted by Taylor’s University.
In that event, the Malaysian hosts were impressed by the LPU students who spearheaded various focus groups during the conference and immersed themselves in the various activities at the conference site.
