BDO Elite Cards provide hassle-free travel

MANILA, Philippines - Crowded airports, cancelled flights and currency fluctuations are some of the nerve-wracking inconveniences that are minimized through the travel-oriented benefits enjoyed by BDO Elite Cardholders. BDO Elite Cardholders carry either a BDO Platinum MasterCard, BDO Visa Platinum, or BDO Titanium MasterCard.

Ma. Nannette Regala, BDO senior vice president and consumer lending group marketing head, observes: “A favorite preoccupation of BDO Elite Cardholders is travel — whether it’s done for business or for pleasure. We have thus incorporated a number of travel-related benefits to the BDO Elite Card to delight cardholders on both their foreign and local travels.”

With Dual Currency, the cardholder receives two separate billing statements — one in Philippine Pesos for local transactions and the other for international transactions billed in US Dollars. The cardholder has the option to pay his international charges in US Dollars, which saves the cardholder from paying added currency conversion charges.

The Priority Pass enables BDO Platinum and Titanium MasterCard cardholders to gain access to the Priority Pass Airport Lounge Access Program. This benefit is open only to BDO Elite MasterCard cardholders.

At VIP lounges worldwide, he can grab a quick nap, have some refreshments, or catch up on his e-mail. A minimum fee of US$25 will be charged the cardholder. He may bring a guest or two to these VIP lounges. They will be charged US$27 each.

The BDO Elite Card features free Travel Accident and Inconvenience Insurance Coverage. For flight delays, the cardholder is entitled up to P3,000 for every six-hour delay. For loss or damage to baggage and personal effects, the cardholder is entitled up to P80,000. For loss of travel documents, he is entitled up to P200,000.
