Baguio cooks up most wanted attraction in Te Quiero

-

MANILA, Philippines - Baguio City is blessed with a topography that includes zigzagging through the Cordillera Central mountain range amid pine trees and a cool climate. Indeed, Baguio is undoubtedly one of the must-go places in the Philippines.

Baguio is a city of contrasts and ironies, and its trove of treasures and relaxing character has attracted local and foreign tourists in search of a rejuvenating weekend sojourn. Food is a huge part of Baguio culture and food trips are often orchestrated by foodies in pursuit of gastronomic highs.

Impressive modern interiors, Spanish food, fabulous service and a dash of Baguio’s inimitable charm spell out the city’s newest most wanted attraction: Te Quiero Tapas Bar and Restaurant.

Located in Microtel Baguio, right beside the Victory Liner Passenger Center, Te Quiero is a Spanish tapas Bar and restaurant. The folks behind it hope to give the city’s food crowd a place to appreciate Spanish cuisine.

In Te Quiero, the owners teamed up with Microtel executive chef Melchor Lopez to come up with an array of Spanish cuisine sampler. Indulge in Te Quiero’s gambas al ajilo and baguerones en vinagre. Te Quiero combines Baguio techniques and Spanish sensibilities, transforming local elements like mushroom and goat meat into something exquisite. The result: Baguio mushroom soup and caldereta de cabra.

Te Quiero also offers a selection of Spanish cocktails, wines, beers, and other liquors.
