Disney's Let's Celebrate! runs at Big Dome until Jan. 3
MANILA, Philippines - For more than two decades, the Big Dome has churned out Disney ice shows that are magical and entertaining, charming kids and kids at heart.
For many people, the holidays won’t be complete without a trip to the Big Dome to watch their favorite characters skate, jump, dance, and twirl on ice.
Continuing the holiday tradition this year is the new production Disney On Ice presents Let’s Celebrate!, a series of 18 shows featuring a medley of holidays and celebrations throughout the world, presented by Mickey Mouse and 50 of his friends.
Produced by Feld Entertainment, the show includes 10 colorful, romantic, and high-energy acts, including a Very Merry UnBirthday Party with Alice and the Mad Hatter; a Halloween party with Jack Skellington and the Disney villains; a Hawaiian luau with Lilo and Stitch; and a Valentine’s Day Royal Ball with the Disney Princesses, introducing a new Disney Princess, Tiana.
With the help of Mickey’s Digital Global Destinator, the show will also transport viewers to far-off places so they can witness events such as the Mardi Gras in New Orleans, the Chinese New Year in China, and the Carnival in Brazil.
Following the charity show on Christmas Eve presented to children from several charitable institutions, Disney on Ice presents Let’s Celebrate! opened on Christmas Day to hordes of loyal Disney fans, both young and old.
Everyone was delighted to find out that ticket prices were affordable, thus allowing Filipinos from all sectors of society to enjoy this amazing never-before-seen ice show.
Zach Ellard, Feld Entertainment’s regional marketing director for Southeast Asia and India, said he is not at all surprised by the enthusiastic turnout of viewers.
“The Filipino audience has always been one of the most fervent and loudest Disney audiences in the world. They simply love Mickey and his friends and enjoy the production elements that we painstakingly put together in every production,” said Ellard.
Disney On Ice presents Let’s Celebrate! will run at the Smart Araneta Coliseum until Jan. 3, 2012.
Ticket prices are P1,500 (Patron VIP/Lower Box VIP), P1,200 (Patron Regular/Lower Box Regular), P950 (Upper A Premium), P675 (Upper A Regular), P370 (Upper B), and P150 (General Admission).
