MANILA, Philippines - To celebrate 15 years of covering Cebu and Davao lifestyle, Zee Lifestyle magazine is throwing a big celebration together with the Fashion Council of Cebu (FCC) called Crystal Ball this Thursday, Dec. 15. The black-tie event promises to be a glittery night at the Radisson Blu Hotel’s grand ballroom, and will help raise funds for the advocacy arm of FCC. Big-ticket items including several crystal candelabras and a business class ticket to the US from Cathay Pacific that will be auctioned off during the night, the proceeds of which will help improve the lives of many indigent women by teaching them specialized skills in the fashion and accessories trade. A gala fashion show from the holiday collection of Philip Rodriguez, Cary Santiago, Jun Escario, Oj Hofer, Arcy Gayatin, Jojo Romoff, Albert Arriba, Philip Tampus and Yvonne Quisumbing will follow the sit-down dinner, capped with an after-dinner party hosted by Penthouse, one of Cebu’s top clubs. Percussionist Vince Lahorra and lounge singer Tria Bascon will be the entertainers during the degustacion meal prepared by Chef Marco Amarone. The city’s top event designer, Teresin Medezona, created a stylish crystal-themed dinner venue to fit the occasion.
The evening will also honor the lady behid the Loalde brand, Ms. Lou Aldeguer, Zee’s style icon, for her pioneering efforts in the RTW industry, as well as Cebu’s top national brands headed by the Aboitiz group-owned Union Bank, Penshoppe, Matimco Lumber, IPI’s Efficacent Oil, Philippine Brand Dried Mangoes, Nature’s Spring Water, the Islands Group, Mandaue Foam, Julie’s Bakeshop, Bluewater Resorts, Bo’s Coffee, Thirsty Fruit Shakes and Juices, and Coffee Dream.
