Phl a big hit at MICE event

MANILA, Philippines - Meetings, incentives, conventions and events (MICE) and business development officer-in-charge Stanie Soriano of the Tourism Promotions Board (left, foreground) attends to the American and European planners swarming the Philippine booth at the recently concluded 2011 Incentives, Meetings and Events Expo (IMEX) held in Las Vegas, Nevada. The planners trooped to the Philippine pavilion at IMEX on the requests of their own clients from all over the world to have their MICE activities held in the Philippines. They sought information on the Philippines’ top MICE destinations like Cebu, Davao, Boracay and Palawan. Their inquiries were ably answered by the Philippine delegation led by Soriano and TPB project officer Teresita de Luna-Landan, and composed of representatives of Annset Holidays, Global Link MP Events, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, Philippine Airlines, Philippine Exhibits and Themeparks Corp., and Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority.
