Chicago and all that jazz

Cathay Pacific has launched Chicago, the ‘Windy City,’ as its latest destination. To celebrate this, the premium carrier recently held a Chicago-themed party at the Manila Polo Club that highlighted the city’s distinct lifestyle, entertainment, dining, and cultural attractions. The evening affair also had a very special host, none other than ‘Oprah Winfrey,’ as played by comedian Jon Santos. Even more exciting was the host’s list of favorite things, which included the famous Chicago Mix popcorn and a raffle that saw two lucky guests each winning round-trip tickets for two to Chicago. Aside from the new destination launch, the event also introduced and welcomed newly appointed Cathay Pacific Philippines country manager Martin Xu (left), and bid farewell to outgoing country manager Ed Higgs (right), who will be heading back to Hong Kong after his three-year stint in the Philippines.
