Mall visitors to get artistic tour of Macau

MANILA, Philippines - Mall visitors will get the unusual thrill of an artistic virtual tour of Macau, now Asia’s most dynamic and exciting tourist destination, on March 25-27 when they visit the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

Six highly regarded artists and photographers will give visitors different perspectives of Macau attractions and experiences through art illustrations, drawings and digital images, to be displayed at the atrium of the popular mall, mounted by the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO)-Philippines, in cooperation with SM Malls.

On show are the works of award-winning visual artist and painter Ferdinand Doctolero; promising mixed media artist Van Zeus Allen Bascon; well-known illustrator, graphic designer and space planner Robert Alejandro; award-winning digital artist Benedicto Mendoza, who specializes in creating 3D concepts; award-winning digital artist Rommel Bundalian; and architect, painter, author, children’s books illustrator Jose Miguel Tejido.

The group went to Macau last December on a working trip sponsored by MGTO-Phils. The works they produced from that visit will give visitors different perspectives of Macau attractions and experiences through their visually captivating artistic masterpieces.

The artists will treat mall visitors to 360-degree virtual tours of different Macau itineraries, which may be viewed by mall visitors from four viewing stands at the exhibit area on March 25-27.

Also at the venue will be representatives of Cebu Pacific, Golden Sky Travel, Mac Air Services, Philippine Airlines, Sparkle Holidays, and Wintrex Travel, which will be offering affordable Macau tour packages for that “perfect getaway” during the summer vacation.

Staff members of MGTO-Philippines in Portuguese, Chinese and gondolier costumes will also be around to assist visitors and provide additional information on Macau.
