Have Lumix, will travel

-

MANILA, Philippines - A leading electronics company recently launched a travelogue with a well-known Filipino photographer to test the quality of its new point-and-shoot digital cameras that produce quality photos at par with digital SLRs.

Panasonic already has various Lumix camera models available in stores and the company aims to show its efficiency and the quality of its camera output. This is the reason why it set up a travelogue with one of the country’s best, Patrick Uy.

Recognizing the fact that a lot of people who like taking photos may not have the time to study photography, Uy recommends point-and-shoot cameras that can rival DSLRs.

He recommends use of Panasonic Lumix for those who don’t have the time to spend learning photography and mastering technical terms and techniques. Investing in a point-and-shoot camera like a Panasonic Lumix enables anyone to take quality photos.

Capture the action of your Cagayan de Oro whitewater rafting adventure in the magnificent Cagayan de Oro River using your reliable Lumix camera.

But aside from those who don’t have the time to learn photography, Panasonic Lumix cameras are also perfect even for professional photographers.

Normally, photographers have back-up cameras during shoots. Having a Panasonic Lumix camera as back-up ensures that the quality of photos is almost at par with a DSLR, which is why it makes perfect sense to have one around. It is also useful for professional photographers for their casual or everyday instances.

Uy toured around Cagayan de Oro City and Bukidnon to push the limits of the Panasonic Lumix camera to prove that it can actually take good photos in any condition or setting.

Together with the Panasonic Lumix team, Uy went to a ranch where he took photos of moving cows. He also went to the Dole plantation, a farm, Gov. Zubiri’s zoo, Gantungan Falls, Cedar Rainforest, Pasugong Hills, and the old and new Benedictine Monastery. He also visited the Manobo tribe and took photos of them.

One of Bukidnon’s finest cultural treasures is the Manobo tribe.

Through the travelogue, the power of the Panasonic Lumix was unveiled as it took pictures of moving and still subjects, indoor and outdoor shoots, and various weather conditions. The photos taken from the travelogue came out really well which proves that one need not have fancy gadgets as much as an eye for aesthetics with Lumix cameras.
