MANILA, Philippines - South East Asian Airlines (SEAIR), the country’s premier leisure airline, now flies from Manila to Vigan City in Ilocos Sur every Friday and Sunday. The one-way airfare is P2,500.
“SEAIR is proud to commence a new route to the north and give consumers more choices for travel destinations,” said Avelino Zapanta, SEAIR president.
“Apart from that, SEAIR gives affordable promo rates to Vigan to effectively tap the growing local and international tourist markets,” he added.
Vigan City is the capital of Ilocos Sur. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999 for its rich Spanish colonial history and well-preserved 18th-century Spanish buildings lining its cobblestone streets.
Flights to Vigan take 50 minutes via the Dornier 328 aircraft, the fastest and most advanced jet-prop in the region. The plane features the latest in German technology and enables SEAIR to offer the fastest flights from Manila to Boracay at 35 minutes.
SEAIR recently launched flights to Singapore via Clark using the 144-seater Airbus aircraft.
SEAIR is the nation’s second oldest airline.
