MANILA, Philippines - The much-anticipated annual event in the Philippine travel and tourism industry, the TravelTour Expo, organized by the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA) and the Department of Tourism (DOT) together with VIA, is set on Feb. 18-20 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
The TravelTour Expo was conceived by the PTAA in response to its goal of fostering unity in the travel industry and to promote the welfare of the traveling public, thus providing a perfect venue for a grand showcase of various products, services and extraordinary deals that visitors can enjoy.
Far better than what consumers will find online or anywhere else, the expo exclusively offers special fares which they can avail themselves of only during the three-day event, a one-stop-shop for all domestic and international travel needs (tickets, land arrangements, hotel accommodation, tours, etc.), buy one-take one packages and other surprises.
Now on its 18th year, the 2011 TravelTour Expo promises to be bigger and more exciting. With a larger venue of four huge exhibit halls, exhibitors now have more booths to choose from to offer visitors a wider variety of travel options.
With this year’s theme “Around the World in 3 Days,” the show aims to feature various hot spots in the Philippines and all over the world.
There’s something for everyone as visitors can expect a glimpse of what awaits them in their chosen destinations while enjoying cultural presentations, souvenir items and discounted travel packages from the participating exhibitors.
Since it started in 1994, the TravelTour Expo has been attracting thousands of visitors, exhibitors and sponsors. Last year’s show brought in about 80,000 visitors and featured 416 booths with 230 participants, with the theme “Ready, Jet-set, Go!”
For the past 18 years, the TravelTour Expo has been consistently offering new markets and expanding customer base to the exhibitors, making it the biggest and ultimate event for the travel and tourism industry covering practically all segments of the travel business.
The event is co-presented by the DOT together with VIA, official carrier Philippine Airlines, official venue SMX, official broadsheet partner The Philippine STAR, media partners Business World, The Foreign Post and Travel Update, radio partners Jam 88.3, Wave 89.1, Magic 89.9, 99.5 RT, 103.5 Max FM, RJ FM and 105.5 CrossOver, and official print partner GA Printing.
