Brick oven-baked pizzas and afternoon tea buffet at InterCon

MANILA, Philippines - Brick oven-baked pizzas will be available at InterContinental Manila’s Gambrinus Bar and Sol y Sombra poolside restaurant daily from 5 to 10 p.m. from Jan. 8 to 31, 2011.

Guests can pick out their favorite from a tasty selection of nine. These include Capri (olive, chicken, tomato, mushroom, pineapple and tapenade topping), Siciliana (tomato, pine honey ham, bell pepper, black olive, celery and mozzarella cheese topping), Portofino (tomato, prawn, mussel, squid, capers and homemade pesto topping), Margherita (tomato, mozzarella cheese and olive oil topping), Napolitana (tomato, garlic, anchovy and oregano topping), Hawaiian (tomato, ham, pineapple, and cheddar cheese topping), Chicken BBQ (tomato, oregano, cheddar cheese and bacon topping), Quattro Formaggi (tomato, blue cheese, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese and parmesan cheese topping), and Quattro Stagione (tomato, parmesan cheese, oregano, salami, ham, mushroom, palm heart and mozzarella cheese topping).

Daily from 2 to 5 p.m. on Jan. 3 to 31, both the Gambrinus Bar and Sol y Sombra will offer a variety of tea blends along with a selection of English-style soft bread finger sandwiches, savories and sweets for just P350++ per person.

Both restaurants overlook the hotel’s sprawling poolside tropical garden. Manila’s promising lounge singers and musicians perform nightly at the Gambrinus Bar.
