Asiana's 'Change for Good' reaches $4.2 M for UNICEF

-

MANILA, Philippines - Multi-awarded Asiana Airlines (OZ) recently turned over $4.2 million (5 billion won) worth of donations to UNICEF as part of its Change for Good campaign. Under the donation program, passengers are asked if they would like to donate change in any currency at the end of their flight. Asiana has been successfully holding the program since 1994. This year, the donation will go to a UNICEF program to build wells in African communities suffering from water shortage. The donation box uses the Well of Love imagery to symbolize where donations would go. Photo shows Asiana Airlines president and CEO Yoon Young-doo (third from left) leading the coin counting ceremony with Asiana Airlines flight attendants at the Kimpo International Airport. With him at the ceremony are (from left) Korea Committee for UNICEF executive director Park Dong-Eun and popular Korean actor and UNICEF Friendship Ambassador Ahn Sung-Ki.
