MANILA, Philippines - Be among the first to watch what will probably be the greatest must-see show in Asia, the water-based extravaganza “The House of Dancing Water,” which opens this week in Macau.
The more than $250-million world-class production envisioned by Lawrence Ho, co-chairman and chief executive officer of Melco Crown Entertainment Ltd., will be presented in the awe-inspiring 2,000-seat Dancing Water Theater in the equally awe-inspiring City of Dreams, an integrated entertainment resort that is the newest must-experience destination in Macau developed by Melco.
A superb cast of 77 international performance artists brings to life “The House of Dancing Water” epic, a spectacular love story transcending time and space and inspired by the “seven emotions principle” derived from classical Confucian beliefs. Audiences will be taken on a magical journey to an extraordinary kingdom through the seven human emotions — from the abyss of Sadness and Anger, to the heights of Desire and the summit of Joy, between the cliffs of Fear to a glorious resolution where Love triumphs over Hate and its sinister forces.
Personally created and directed by Franco Dragone, whose unique theatrical creations made him the leading creative force behind Cirque du Soleil in the 1980s through the 1990s, the spectacular show features dazzling costumes and amazing audio and visual special effects.
