Le Petit Artisan launches the 'Momwich'
MANILA, Philippines - Le Petit Artisan, the stylish little French bakery that has so confidently lined itself up with other ultra chic dining places along the posh Greenbelt 5 strip, has been the subject of many blog entries of late.
A quick scan of the glowing reviews would reveal that a bakery is hardly an appropriate description. “There’s an artist in there,” exclaims one such entry.
An artist indeed, and his canvass is bread. And there are all sorts of breads and pastries to behold. The classic croissants and French baguette are staples.
But their selection boasts of so much more: rye, wheat, sourdough and other hard-to-find breads that would be the only worthy accompaniment to a delicatessen style meal. This has made many patrons request for more sandwich and meal items that would make people want to come, linger and savor the sights, tastes and aromas to be had.
Mother’s Day marks a promise fulfilled as Le Petit Artisan honors moms with its new house specialty sandwich called Le Petit Clubhouse.
At nine inches in diameter, it’s actually a huge sandwich. It boasts of a mouthwatering selection of five types of deli cuts, two types of lettuce, arugula, cheese and scrambled eggs. The bread is made of sesame and sunflower seed focaccia.
This house specialty is called Le Petit Clubhouse but it could well be nicknamed the “Momwich” because it is the mother of all sandwiches. Comfort food to the max! It’s great for special gatherings, meetings, and instant parties as it can actually satisfy 10 hungry people.
