Lotus Garden offers a quaint city hideaway

MANILA, Philippines - Whether you’re planning to go to Manila for a quick weekend getaway or for a business trip, the newly renovated Lotus Garden Hotel in Ermita, Manila offers practical solutions to all your major travel needs.

Looking for an affordable city hotel that doesn’t scrimp on service? Then try Lotus Garden Hotel in Ermita in your next trip to Manila. This popular city hotel has been treating its guests to comfortable accommodations and excellent service for years but with the recent renovations that have been going on, especially with its new building, Lotus Garden Hotel aims to provide its guests with even better service and facilities but with the same affordable price points.

According to Lotus Garden Hotel resident manager Armina Mendiola, the demand to have more rooms is what prompted them to put up a new building.

Being located in the Ermita area, Mendiola admits that there’s always stiff competition going on with so many other city hotels around, that’s why to stay ahead, it’s a must for them to continuously push for improvements.

Lotus Garden Hotel’s new building in art deco style is definitely a wonderful sight to behold, starting from its spacious lobby to the 31 rooms that it currently offers. Everything, from the staircase at the lobby to the wall clocks on the hallway has a touch of old-world elegance that makes your stay at Lotus Garden Hotel more pleasurable.

While there’s still a lot of work to be done at the new building — they’re still setting up the spa and other facilities — Mendiola shares that they’re at least able to start offering free Wi-Fi in all of the 31 rooms at the new building.

Since Wi-Fi is an important service in hotels these days, Mendiola says they will also start offering it for free soon in the 86 rooms at the old building. In the meantime, free Wi-Fi in the old building can be accessed in the lobby and restaurant area.

To make guests’ stay more comfortable, additional services through the Lotus Tours Travel Center are also readily available at the hotel.

Located at the first floor of the main building, the Lotus Tours Travel Center offers secretarial services for business travelers as well as transportation, air ticketing, and tour packages for tourists.

Meanwhile, Lotus Garden Hotel’s Cilantro Restaurant continues to treat guests to a smorgasbord of all things delicious. Specializing in Asian cuisine, particularly Filipino favorites, Cilantro offers hearty meals at reasonable prices that are truly a feast for the senses. Mendiola urges everyone to try Cilantro’s specialty dish, the pata bawang, a unique take on the Filipino classic, crispy pata. Mendiola shares that part of what makes Cilantro’s pata bawang more scrumptious is its special sauce, which should be added to the pata bawang platter immediately after it is served to bring out the dish’s full flavor.

Soon, Mendiola says Lotus Garden’s new building will also have its own Cilantro restaurant and another possible dining facility near the spa area. For now, Lotus Garden Hotel guests can enjoy a hearty dining experience at Cilantro or unwind at the hotel’s Wings Over Manila Sports Bar which offers cocktail drinks, wines, and other beverages.

Aside from Lotus Garden’s new building, Mendiola is also proud of their newly launched website which has become an instant hit among their clients.

The new and improved website is now able to offer instant confirmation for booking, which makes it a whole easier for their busy clients to book a room at the hotel. She says, “We’ve also started offering promos so a lot of our guests have started booking through the website where they will get promo rates and freebies. It’s a lot cheaper from our regular rates as well.”

But do make sure to keep on checking the website as rates do change from time to time in order to get the best possible rates.

From cozy accommodations to stellar customer service, it’s really no wonder that this quaint city hotel continues to draw in guests in spite of having 10 or so other hotels in its location. By offering the best in accommodations, dining, and customer service, Lotus Garden Hotel in Manila continues to provide an exquisite experience for all its guests.
