A five-star lifestyle awaits at Marriott Hotel Manila

-

MANILA, Philippines - When heading to Manila’s newest airport, you can’t miss the massive hotel edifice right across the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 in Pasay City. Bigger than life, the Marriott Hotel Manila sits on property giant Megaworld Corporation’s 25-hectare Newport City project. NAIA 3 may take a bit longer to fully open and serve thousands more per day, but Marriott is all ready to get the party started.

International travelers know the Marriott name well, with over 3,000 hotels in the United States and 67 others in different countries worldwide. “Marriott represents a five-star international product that customers can rely on and know that their visit will be successful from a hotel services point of view,” says Richard Saul, first GM of Marriott Hotel Manila.

With a distinctive touch of Philippine flavor and color, Marriott Hotel Manila is unique among its other hotels, showcasing the best of Philippine hospitality within its five-star international standards. “Customers will find the Marriott Hotel Manila unlike any other Marriott,” says Saul, “except when it comes to the rigorous quality and consistency standards applied across all Marriott International hotels.”

Marriott Hotel Manila is everything that one would expect from a five-star hotel — from service to world-class facilities and enthusiastic staff. The hotel, with 342 guest rooms, is complete with luxurious amenities that include a grand ballroom, a banquet hall, business center, a spa and fitness station plus a swimming pool and whirlpool.

From the grand lobby, one can literally flow from one restaurant to another. Take your pick from the all-day restaurant Marriott Café, Cru Steakhouse, and Velocity, an entertainment bar. All restaurants offer a splendid view of the Villamor Golf Club’s fairways. The Lounge is the Marriott version of a lobby lounge — with different “zones” to let people socialize or enjoy private time.

Despite all the choices available at the Marriott Hotel Manila, all it takes is one day to appreciate its fine service, according to Saul. But of course, “We hope people stay longer, naturally, as there’s so much to see and do.”

Indeed, the latest Marriott is but the first stage of an even larger entertainment complex called Resorts World at Manila, the likes of which the Philippines has never seen before. Marriott is just the beginning of a gargantuan world-class tourist facility that will include two more world-class hotels, an entertainment center, a state-of-the-art theater, restaurants and a luxury mall. All are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. With its location right across the airport, tourists can just dive right into the best of what Manila has to offer, without having to battle traffic.

“We are set to make Resorts World at Manila the country’s first 24/7 entertainment city and bring millions of tourists from East Asia to our shores over the next few years. Marriott Hotel Manila will be the first to offer them the brand of Filipino hospitality,” declares Travellers International Hotel Group president Kingson Sian.

The all-suites Maxims Hotel, the next to open after Marriott, is already creating a lot of buzz. It is the first hotel in the Philippines to feature 170 suites made up of 166 king and junior suites, three private villas with their own private pools and a presidential suite. Upping the ante on luxury travel, all suites will come with personal butler service round the clock.

Maxims Hotel will occupy the floors four to eight of the Newport Entertainment and Commercial Center, right on top of a luxury mall and entertainment center. Manila is no stranger to malls or luxury shopping, but this will be a mall to top them all — with luxury brands front and center, top-of-the-line cinemas and entertainment centers. It will launch about 10 new fine-dining restaurants, offering cuisines from around the world. Japanese, American, Chinese, Italian — name it, they’re all here to satisfy your gustatory cravings.

Right on top of the luxury mall will be a 1,100-seater multi-purpose theater for the performing arts — set to be the venue for world-class shows (think Las Vegas) including musicals, plays, ballet, circuses, pageants and concerts.

Resorts World at Manila is set to be completed next year, with the first phase ready to open very soon. It is a flagship entertainment project of Travellers International Hotel Group, a joint venture between Hong Kong’s Star Cruises — which operates the world’s third largest cruise line — and the Philippines’ Alliance Global Group Inc. of tycoon Andrew Tan.
