Victory Liner partners with the North Philippines Visitor's Bureau

-

MANILA, Philippines - Victory Liner, the premier bus company that services Northern Luzon, has teamed up with the Northern Philippines Visitors Bureau (NPVB). The tourism marketing arm of the Manila North Tollways Corporation, to boost frequent traveling to Northern Luzon. According to Vince Araneta, executive director of the NPVB, the collaboration gives a big boost to the region, especially at a time when tourism, global and domestic, has been hit by the threat of Influenza A (H1N1) virus and economic recession, among others.

“The participation of Victory Liner is welcome and extremely significant. It is a testament to the principle of collaborative marketing,” he said. “Moreover, the strength and network of Victory Liner will be a great boost to the NVPB and its local conventions and visitors bureaus as they further promote tourism in the North.”

As one of the agencies that pitches country’s Northern region as a place worth exploring, NVPB  is focusing on  its marketing drive from a free quarterly magazine aptly dubbed Northbound. The magazine aims to focus on strategies such as creating tourism directional signs along major highways, tourism markers,  and other promotional activities.  Creating a North Philippines Catalogue for the domestic Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) market is also in the works. Recognizing the magnitude of the Internet, NVPB is also working on a website and will also establish an unmanned on-line interactive information kiosk in strategic areas

Traveling to Northern Luzon mainly involves land travel. The improvement in NLEX, the main route, is a great help and complements perfectly the comfortable journey provided by Victory Liner’s wellmaintained and safe fleet of air-conditioned buses and luxury coaches equipped with indulgences like in-bus comfort rooms, TV and DVD, and travel attendants to help out. With bus terminals spread out in strategic areas in Manila and Quezon City, travellers can easily take a trip to various Northern Luzon tourist destinations such as Baguio, Cagayan and Isabela. Plying the route for than more 60 years, Victory Liner is without a doubt, the best partner NVPB can ask for in helping Filipinos and tourists enjoy the tapestry of North Philippines.

“There are a lot of old places in North Philippines that can be rediscovered and a lot of new places that tourist should visit and discover. There are a lot of places that have yet to be discovered. With companies likes Victory Liner helping out, things can only get better for tourism in North Philippines,” Araneta said.  To know more about scheduled trips of Victory Liner, visit www.victoryliner.com.
