MANILA, Philippines - As the first boutique hotel under the Waterfront Group, G Hotel is different from its neighbors on the Roxas Boulevard strip as it is more compact and usually caters to businessmen and foreign tourists who want a no-fuss approach in their business and leisure accommodations. Aside from being relatively smaller than the other hotels in the area, G Hotel is also characterized as being a themed hotel, which is most evident with its black and white color scheme and minimalist décor.
Rooms with a view
The hotel has a total of 50 rooms, 10 of them suites, all fully equipped with amenities such as an upgraded mini-bar, in-room pantry area, coffee/tea making facilities, cable television, NDD/IDD, complete bath essentials, Wi-Fi connection, and more.
As for its unique services, G Hotel rooms manager Jane Soraya Ferrer talks about G Hotel’s 24-hour butler service wherein every possible need of their guests is sure to be met.
“For our butler service, we are offering a 24-hour personalized service for all our guests. Anything that they could possibly want from massage service to errands, we can do all that for them here in G Hotel,” Ferrer adds.
G Hotel manager Yuri Mangondaya adds that their staffers are all certified butlers. “We make sure that all your needs are being attended to as much as possible by our butlers,” he says.
Another notable thing about G Hotel’s rooms is that guests are also treated to a spectacular view of Manila Bay, something that Ferrer shares is another reason why their guests keep coming back.
Currently, G Hotel has the G Break promo wherein guests can avail themselves of special packages on deluxe rooms and suites, inclusive of an F&B coupon, 10 percent discount on Business Center services, and breakfast.
Posh facilities
Aside from its well-kept and fully equipped rooms, G Hotel also has an impressive lineup of facilities that will ensure a more comfortable stay for its guests. It has a Business Center, the next best thing to having your own office at the hotel, and a pool area where guests can cool off after a long day out in Manila.
For dining options, G Hotel has Mirage, a plush pool bar at the seventh floor that offers delectable snacks and cocktails, and Café Noir, an interactive coffee shop that serves unique Asian fusion dishes courtesy of Executive Chef Marcelo Tesalona.
Currently, Café Noir is having a promo called Spectacular Buffet wherein Chef Mar is whipping up a storm in the kitchen, as he will be serving a variety of dishes each week for G Hotel’s guests. Aside from the buffet offerings, Chef Mar is also proud of Café Noir’s lineup of international dishes that he tries to update each month by having somewhat of a “dish of the month” special like July’s turkey sandwich with pineapple salsa. For dessert, Chef Mar highly recommends Café Noir’s dessert sampler, comprising some of their most popular desserts such as oatmeal ice cream and strawberry pana cotta. Other Café Noir specials that G Hotel guests should look forward to are the Salad Bar and Mediterranean, pizza and pasta dishes.
However, for big gatherings, Mangondaya suggests booking a reservation at Promenade, G Hotel’s elegantly styled function room that can accommodate up to 150 guests. Just like with the hotel’s unique butler service, the Promenade also offers personalized service matched with stellar gourmet meals while the guests enjoy a captivating view of the Manila Bay sunset.
In spite of being one of the new kids on the block, G Hotel has been enjoying good response from its guests. Mangondaya shares: “We’ve had very good feedback from our guests especially on the cleanliness and the quality of service that we provide. As part of the Waterfront Group, we can give assurance that the standards on the quality of service set by Waterfront are being implemented at G Hotel as well. If you want to stay in an atmosphere where you are given assurance of a pleasurable experience, you can get that here at G Hotel.”
In spite of its minimalist settings, G Hotel certainly doesn’t fail to deliver all the services and amenities that a usual hotel might offer. Aside from continuously improving on their services, Mangondaya, together with the rest of his team, is working hard to always meet, even exceed, the expectations of their guests.
