Corporate giants, business luminaries and government officials gathered recently at Cebu’s Casa Espanol to celebrate Mabuhay Miles MasterCard’s international recognition and its latest offer to its ever-expanding valued customers.
Prominent among the crowd were Allied Banking Corporation’s top brass: Reynaldo A. Maclang, President; Omar Byron Mier, president and CEO of Philippine National Bank; Peter N. Yap, executive vice-president and retail banking group head and Socorro D. Corpus, senior VP-HRD head. Representing Philippine Airlines were Jaime J. Bautista, President and COO; Mr. Felix J. Cruz, VP-marketing support, Jun Pilapil, AVP Mactan Station and Bob Salazar, AVP Visayas Sales with MasterCard Worldwide’s VP and country manager, Jose Rene D. Villa-Real.
Allied Bank’s first vice-president and card center head, Fol C.Rana, Jr., and Philippine Airlines’ assistant vice-president-product loyalty marketing, Barbara Aragon headed the presentation, while the evening was hosted by one of the country’s top entertainers, Richard Poon, who also serenaded the elite crowd with a wonderful repertoire of songs.
The APMEA Award
Praises continue to pour on this relatively new player in the credit card field. Barely even four months since its launch last June 27, Mabuhay Miles MasterCard has been relentless in pursuing and giving the best service there is to its valued customers – and doing so with roaring success.
Early this October, it won an APMEA Award for Best Premium Co-Brand Program, beating all the players of the category in the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa. Even with such acclaim, Mabuhay Miles MasterCard refuses to rest on its laurel; it pushes on to building up its rapport with the A to C market, honing its World and Platinum products further with attractive incentives.
The APMEA Product Conference and Technology Fair is held annually, honoring MasterCard Worldwide customer financial institutions for their excellence in promoting growth, technology and innovation in the payments industry. The most recent ceremony was held in a conference in Singapore, which duration extended from October 7-8, 2008.
TAKING OFF WITH FASTER MILES ACQUISITION AT P35
To rev up its miles-earning engine, Mabuhay Miles MasterCard lowers its point-to-mile conversion from P38 to P35, making it faster for its users to get free flights aboard Philippine Airlines. This unprecedented Miles “price-down” promo comes as a gesture of gratitude to its valued customers, generously rewarding their patronage as the holiday season rolls in. It started on Oct. 15 and ends on Dec. 31.
