MANILA, Philippines - Christmas in the Philippines wouldn’t be possible without the yearly mushrooming of bazaars selling everything from piles of export-brand clothing for mothers and daughters to dig through, to hard-to-find toys for children, a variety of gadgets for the men in the family, alongside Christmas treats with irresistible taste-testing spreads. This year marks the first of the annual BF Parañaque Christmas Bazaar organized by iOrganizers, Inc. Located at the ground floor of the ALS Building, 23 Aguirre Ave, across Tropical Hut and beside Starbucks (Aguirre corner Presidents Avenue), the bazaar is open from 12 noon to 10 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 23 and 24.
More well-known among holiday shoppers is The Noel Bazaar at the World Trade Center. Organized by Cut Unlimited, the bazaar starts this weekend. If you know what’s good for you, do your shopping as early as possible, but if you really want to beat the crowds, take your chances by doing your shopping on Christmas Eve. Either way, just make sure you aren’t caught without any presents to hand out.
