MANILA, Philippines - Gabriel * Martel unveiled its second collection of 11 handcrafted minaudieres using rich materials, such as stingray, stone, shell, wood, ostrich skin, 20 carat plated gold and semi precious stones. Entitled “Tocca di Lusso”, which means “A touch of luxury” in Italian, it was a year-long collaboration between good friends, Celine Gabriel-Lim and Andrea Martel.
The collection was launched at Prive Luxury Club at the Fort Strip, Global City where the event was graced by the 11 muses after whom the collection’s pieces are named Chicho Suarez, Alex Gutierrez, Shannon Marcelo, Say Alonzo, Vicki Abary, Tina Lagdameo, Rosanna Ocampo, Isabel Roces, Issa Litton, May Antonio and Heart Evangelista.
Gabriel * Martel’s pieces have already been spotted on celebrities and personalities, like Anne Curtis, Heart Evangelista, Say Alonzo, Trish Panlilio, Nicole Whisenhunt, Bea Lhuilier, Stacy Rodriguez and Maxene Magalona. Their unique designs have also been presented to buyers outside the Philippines, specifically in Barcelona and Madrid.
