A few good men

MANILA, Philippines - The spirit of altruism was alive as Pernod Ricard Philippines Inc., the exclusive importer and marketer of Chivas Regal, partnered with Republiq for a night of charitable celebration last Aug. 24. The celebration was held to raise funds for the less fortunate youth of the Manila Boystown Complex, a 64-year-old organization which houses and cares for abandoned or abused boys ranging from 8 to 16 years old.

Chivas Regal, a world-renowned brand that represents brotherhood, supports the formation of these young boys in order for them to become upstanding and honorable men when they grow up. Marc Rosales, marketing manager of Pernod Ricard Philippines Inc., shared his words of support and encouragement for the cause, and awarded the Manila Boystown Complex an initial donation on behalf of Chivas Regal. The financial pledge was received by the officer-in-charge of Manila Boystown Complex, Florentina Porras. In addition to this pledge, Republiq owner and Supreme’s own Tim Yap echoed the importance of giving more to those who have less and announced that all Chivas Regal sales from that same night would go towards purchasing educational tools, shoes, and basic medicine for the Manila Boystown Complex.

Lending their talents for the charitable evening were Champ Lui Pio of Hale, Jet Pangan of The Dawn, and the iconic Ely Buendia of Pupil in collaboration with DJ Funk Avy. For the rest of the night, stars, celebrities, and VIP guests celebrated the spirit of brotherhood and selflessness, as every purchase of Chivas Regal guaranteed a better tomorrow for Manila’s future leaders, movers and shakers.
