MANILA, Philippines – Last Christmas, you gave him your heart and the very next day, he threw it away. This year, to save you from tears, drink to the holidays and try Bacardi’s array of Christmas mixes.

Originated in 1862, Bacardi Superior rum is the original, mixable, light-bodies rum aged between one and two years in carefully selected oak barrels. After aging, the rums are blended and passed through a second charcoal filtration to achieve maximum clarity and the characteristic Bacardi smoothness.

Bacardi Gold is amber in color, mellow and smooth, with impressions of vanilla and a balance of walnuts, spices, and tropical fruits on a subtle background of oak.

Bacardi Razz is raving with the flavor of fresh raspberries. The best berries, including the dark and sweet Marion berry, are picked at their peak. Steeped and balanced with the slightly tart taste of the red raspberry before being added to premium Bacardi Rum, the aromatic and full result bursts on to the tongue and pleases the palate.

BACARDI CUBA LIBRE

Ingredients:

2 parts Bacardi Superior Rum

4 parts Coca-Cola

2 Lime wedges

Make your drink:

Fill a Highball glass with cubed ice. Squeeze and drop a fresh lime wedge into the glass. Pour in Bacardi Superior and top with chilled Coca-Cola, ideally bottled. Stir gently.

BACARDI EL PRESIDENTE

Ingredients:

2 parts Bacardi Gold Rum

1 part Martini Rosso

Vermouth

Dash of Angostura Bitters

Make your drink:

Put all ingredients into a mixing glass. Add ice and then mix well. Strain into a chilled or frozen glass.

BACARDI MOJITO

Ingredients:

2 parts Bacardi Superior Rum

1/2 fresh lime

12 mint leaves

2 tbsp. caster sugar

Dash of soda water

Make your drink:

Cut the lime in wedges and place in a large highball glass. Add the sugar and muddle to release the lime juice. Add the mint leaves and muddle lightly again to release and combine the flavors. Add half the crushed ice. Pour the Bacardi Superior Rum. Stir well to dissolve the sugar. Top up with more crushed ice. Add soda water. Stir well again to combine all the ingredients and garnish with fresh mint spring.

BACARDI RAZZ AND SPRITE

Ingredients:

2 parts Bacardi Razz

4 parts Sprite

Make your drink:

Fill a glass with ice and add eight raspberries. Pour in Bacardi Razz and Sprite, then mix well.

BACARDI RUM N COKE FLOAT

Ingredients:

2 parts Bacardi Superior Rum

3 parts Coca-Cola

1 ball of vanilla ice cream

Make your drink:

Fill a Highball glass with ice. Pour in the Bacardi Superior Rum. Top with chilled Coca-Cola, ideally bottled, and finish with an ice cream ball.

BACARDI ORIGINAL MOJITO

Ingredients:

1 part Bacardi Rum

2 parts club soda

12 mint leaves

1/2 lime

1/2 part sugar

Serving instructions:

Place 12 mint leaves, 1/2 part sugar and 1/2 lime in a glass. Muddle well with a pestle. Add Bacardi. Top it off with club soda. Stir well and garnish with sprigs of mint or a lime wheel.
