Catch the 'Mega'zine show on NU

MANILA, Philippines - It’s all about celebrating Philippine Independence Day this Saturday as The Magazine Show on NU 107 talks to Tim Yap in his debut as guest editor in the June issue of Mega magazine with Regine Velasquez wearing her Pinoy Pride on the cover.  If the ever-patriotic Tim isn’t on television shimmying his way through the crowd in Party Pilipinas or showing us the latest trends in top-rating entertainment show, Tweetbiz, he’s painting the town red, blue and yellow as an events planner. 

Also guesting is Gahlya, the 15-year-old pop and R&B sensation, who has been making waves with her latest single, I Wanna Be the One.  Immediately after competing at the World Championships of Performing Arts and placing junior grand finalist in 2008, she was snagged and signed up by American music label Upscale Records.  This Florida, USA local is now based in the Philippines balancing her high school life with performing for Trumpets Playshop Teens and training with Pinoy dancing champs, The Philippine All Stars.

Maris Mortel, associate editor of Meg will also spend some time at the station to chat about the magazine’s 12th anniversary with its youth-powered June issue which features Billy Crawford, Belle Daza and Luis Manzano on the cover.
