Backstage and beyond: Party Pilipinas!
MANILA, Philippines - I don’t regret giving up my Saturday nights so I could get up and be as fresh as I can be come Sunday. The energy at the GMA studios is frenetic — everyone’s friendly and rehearsing his numbers before show time. I stand in awe as I watch my colleagues perform their numbers — a plethora of young, dynamic and talented individuals this country has.
What makes this show going, cliche as it may seem, is teamwork! Other shows may have more stellar names, but here everyone’s equal. Star system is overrated, anyways. Me, I’d like to focus on the unsung heroes of the show. Aside from our new directors Mark Reyes and Rico Gutierrez, it’s the production — the team works hard to make everyone on TV look great (or at least that’s what I think). I took these photos while on a tech run before the show — at 9 a.m.!
