Charice to appear in ‘Glee’…in her dreams

MANILA, Philippines - So first, Perez Hilton blogs that the pint-size Pinay was set to join the cast of the Fox hit. Then he issues a semi-erratum that nope, she ain’t. But that was after a major Filipino website picked up the non-story and published it as breaking news. LOL!

Now, if it were true — and in Charice’s head it probably is — what role would be perfect for the 18-year-old viral sensation? There are already two Asians in the cast, one of whom only earned his first speaking line this week. Charice could play a transvestite exchange student, a cross between Fez from That 70s Show and Tila Tequila. Then again, they could do us all a favor and stop trying to make her happen.

In somewhat related news, wasn’t Glee amazing this week? From Puck’s “Jackie Daniels” and Brittany’s lobster costume to Kurt and Finn’s lovers’ spat, the show knows it can be corny and revels in this self-knowing camp. Poker Face was a bizarre choice for a mother-daughter duet, even for Rachel Barry, but whatever. It’s still the most relevant series as we speak. That said, you can expect GMA7’s Diva to come up with a poor man’s version of the GaGa — “Theatricality” episode, like, shortly.
