MANILA, Philippines - Words can change lives and imagination sparks passion. Last week, Supreme shouted out the launch of the Samsung I Imagine campaign. The shout-out making contest revolves on the theme, “when passion meets imagination.”
We are really getting the vibe that the Samsung I Imagine Shout-Out Making Contest has kicked off.
We scored the metro for ground-breaking shout-outs. And the two recent 100 magazine events gave us the Aha! moment.
The status message for the event was, “The future of the country is in local biz.” And the best shout-outs carried the powerful words “passion” and “imagination.” Passion makes dreams come true. And imagination makes you seize the day.
And since some of us may feel that the country has been facing a large amount of tragedies, aggression and oppression, the air becomes filled with cultural pessimism. 100 answers one word to this cultural pessimism: Wine. And Lusso at Greenbelt 5 was the perfect venue to spread the cause of the glossy that blends business with pop culture.
Food guru Margarita Fores and rising chef Rob Pengson, together with October Eighty Publications, headed the launch of 100’s Food & Beverage List edition as cover personalities.
What never ceases to amaze us is the creativity of turning a night of booze to community service. 100 together with Barcino wine bar, initiated the fund-raising event. It was a Spanish wine and tapas pairing event that encouraged guests to support Habitat for Humanity’s Ondoy rehabilitation efforts by purchasing wines and magazines.
As the guest enjoyed the wine, we asked them to imagine and share their shout-outs.
So whether you need a little buzz or not, start waxing poetic and shout out by logging on to www.samsung.com/ph. The contest is open to all enrolled college students in Metro Manila, 15 to 25 years old. Click on the banner ad that will lead you to the samsungimagine.com microsite. Register, imagine, and upload your soul-shaking shout-out. You may also check-out Folded & Hung stores, Samsung’s shout-out partner. All uploaded shout-outs are subject to screening prior to posting in the website.
So what must they shout out? Talk, play, love. These three words are the categories that comprise the shout-out making contest. Talk is a shout-out that expresses emotions, ideas, thoughts, dreams, hopes and ambitions. Play is a shout-out that expresses how life is experienced through love of music, sports, fashion and the arts. And love is a shout-out that expresses how bonds are formed with family and friends through shared interests and passions.
