Bright nights: The Samsung Ultra Touch launch party
MANILA, Philippines - Everyone was captivated by a spellbinding light which illuminated everything around it. Light became the center of attention as Samsung Mobile launched the 8-megapixel, full-touch with 3x4 keypad Samsung Ultra Touch mobile phone. Amid the darkness of the night, the launch literally shed brilliance with its dazzling guests, an energetic partyscene, and the alluring charm of the Samsung Ultra Touch.
Embassy SuperClub became the convergence zone for all things stylish and bright. Upon entering the venue, guests were greeted by brand ambassadors who shared with them the powerful features of the Samsung Ultra Touch. There were overflowing cocktails and appetizing hors d’ oeuvres. With their colorful light wands, everyone immediately felt the energetic vibe as neon laser lights flickered all over and LED screens displayed dynamic visuals of the Samsung Ultra Touch. Samsung corporate marketing head Glenn Glinoga enlightened everyone about the newest successor of the Ultra Edition phones. A spectacular light show of blues and greens then ensued at the lighted stage platform. The Unschooled made their snappy moves while life mannequins paraded the stage in Joey Samson’s club wear and flaunted the Samsung Ultra Touch mobile phone.
Samsung Mobile has enlisted the top three magazines, Preview, Metro, and Mega, to choose their Style Icons — someone who embodies the fusion of style and substance and represents the sensibilities of the Samsung Ultra Touch. Magazine editors Pauline Juan of Preview, Carla Sibal of Mega, and Katrina Holigores of Metro announced their Style Icon nominees and shared their criterion for choosing them. Preview announced columnist and restaurateur Cecile Zamora-Van Straten, TV host Daphne Oseña-Paez, and businesswoman Ingrid Chua-Go as their Style Icon nominees. Mega revealed basketball hottie Chris Tiu, real-estate maven Divine Lee, and sought-after fashion photographer Paolo Pineda as their Style Icons while Metro honored retail princess Suyen Lim, heartthrob Sam Milby, and fashion icon Anne Curtis. You can choose who among these nominees deserve to be the Samsung Ultra Touch Style Icon by voting from the website www.samsungultratouch.com.ph. Choose wisely as these Style Icons will grace the cover of Mega, Metro, and Preview’s April issue and have a fashion spread in the magazines’ June issue.
Among the crowd of style denizens, Samsung head of mobile phones Fe Varilla and product manager Mylene Gabriel awarded Bianca Valerio, Rafa Alunan, and Phil Younghusband as the Style Star of the Night, all head turners in their fashionable stirrups. Each fittingly received the beacon of style in mobile phones — Samsung Ultra Touch.
