In touch with style

MANILA, Philippines - Style has its fleeting expressions, but the latest phone model Samsung Mobile has unveiled—the Samsung Ultra Touch S8300 is more a lasting style statement. Summoning a design-forward flair, the S8300 quashes all phone models claiming fashion association, redefining sleekness with a hidden keypad and a 12.8mm body flaunting a scratch-resistant full touch screen and silky black duralumin frame. Both worldly and savvy with its 8-megapixel camera and Geo-tagging via GPS feature, what screams a sharp eye in style is the 16M AMOLED screen slicked with an Anti-Reflection coating—enough to grant sharper images and videos with unprecedented resolution.

As with any icon of elegance, it’s all about the company you keep, and the S8300’s launch — dubbed “Bright Nights” — at Embassy SuperClub was enough to convey style intensity by association. Glamour in motion was provided by Unschooled, opening the event with choreographed dance as top models paraded Joey Samson’s latest club wear down a frenetically lit stage.

Host Bianca Gonzales then entered the stage and introduced the editors of the top three fashion magazines: Preview’s Pauline Suaco Juan, Mega’s Carla Siba, and Metro’s Katrina Holigores, who each announced their Style Icon nominees. These Style Icons represent the Samsung Ultra Touch S8300 as they embody the fusion of style and substance. The choice Style Icons will grace the cover of their magazines’ April issue:

Preview magazine: Cecile Zamora-Van Straten, Daphne Oseña-Paez, Ingrid Chua-Go

Mega magazine: Chris Tiu, Divine Lee, Paolo Pineda

Metro magazine: Suyen Lim, Sam Milby, Anne Curtis.
