MANILA, Philippines - When Embassy threw a fit of a party last month to toast its 4th anniversary, its main dance floor asserted the saying “The freaks come out at night.” When you throw a bunch of circus freaks into the club mix, you’re bound to get a lot of thrills on the floor. With a wheel of fortune set up on one side, shots at fun were always in your favor — the wheel stopping at a chance for party players to give a little dance, grab a brown bag of goodies, or take a real shot at some hot, tequila love.
Just Like a Circus
With almost everyone dressed in hues of dusk, mischief in the darkness would follow. And while Russian pole dancers intensified the heat of the party, prizes like a trip to Thailand from Thai Airways caused a blaze of excitement. Purple as the celebratory color of the year granted a fitting shade to the night. Purple attracts prosperity, according to feng shui, and it’s what drew everyone to Divine Lee, who wore a hot-purple Aries Lagat creation that won her the trip to Thailand.
Marking four years of Embassy as a hot nocturnal institution is a sign of more party prosperity to come — and a lot to celebrate. In true purple royalty, Embassy’s ringleaders Erik Cua, Fern Aracama, Jon Herrera, and Tim Yap called the shots for everyone to have a damn good time despite troubled times.
“Riches are found in the heart because that is where true wealth is found. When you have that inside you, then there will be no recession in our minds,” Tim Yap declared, capping off the night. “Purple is the new color of prosperity and that is what we at Embassy wish for all of you.”
