Uplifting ageless beauty without going under the knife

MANILA, Philippines — As they say, there is no age limit to beauty, and Filipina celebrity Alice Dixson embodies ageless and limitless beauty.

For years, celebrities have been challenged to stay relevant especially in today's loaded and fast-paced entertainment industry. But at the age of 49, Alice is still a sought-after actress, bagging projects after another.

Unlike what everybody thinks, Dixson revealed that ageless beauty is not always her best friend. Behind the camera, she has been bugged by various skin problems up until today.

"In my 20s, I had a really bad acne problem because of bad diet and everything. So my friend told me about Zein Obagi or ZO," she said, recalling how she became a Belo Baby.

"I love the sun and the tan but the damage, no. I wasn’t so conscious about it then, until pigments showed here and there, which made my face’s skin tone a bit uneven,” she confessed in a tell-all interview, adding that she had also been ditching sunblock despite being constantly active under the sun.

At 46, she started seeing signs of aging, which made her feel unattractive. She also shared that she would call Dr. Vicki Belo and open up about her skin aging concerns, specifically the noticeable sagging.

"Three years ago, I began asking myself, ‘Where did these come from? These were not on my face before.' And from that point, I became really conscious because I want to be the best that I can be. The industry that I am in puts so much pressure on me to have timeless and effortless beauty.  And when you get older, it's harder to avoid wrinkles, sagging, and all the other things you ignored when you were younger," she said.

"And people would always say, ‘With Alice, it's always effortless beauty.' But it's only because I always ask for Vicki's help," she acknowledged.

When you do Ulthera every year, you will not see your face drastically fall or sag. So it's nice to start young," she said.

"My recommendation is if you are 30 to 45, you can do it once every two years. If you are at least 45, the minimum is every year because it's best to invest in yourself," she advised.
