Christmas is synonymous with giving. As we check off the names on our gift-giving list, there’s always this one gift that we wish to receive. Let’s not forget that Christmas is all about sharing and caring for those who have less in life.
Tricia Centenera Valenciano, TV host
All I want for Christmas is to be around my family. Gab and I moved to LA after our wedding, as rewarding as it is living here career wise. We miss our family immensely, both in Manila and Australia. This year we will be spending Christmas and New Year’s Eve in Australia with my side of the family but luckily Kiana will be celebrating with us.
Ciane Xavier, visual artist, former model
Everything goes by so fast, and it’s crazy that the holidays are here already. I just want more time to paint and do my art, master my craft, do what I love, and also be with my loved ones. As they say, one lifetime is not enough to do everything we want.
Almira Muhlach, actress and professional makeup artist
This Christmas I wish that I could go on vacation with my children so that we could all relax, talk, have fun and just be with each other. We are all so busy the whole year, especially my girls who are very busy with college life that we hardly get to enjoy time together. But if it’s material thing that I would wish for, I would want to have a new bed that’s best for my back pain, and with 500-thread-count new sheets.
Arcy Gayatin, fashion desinger
On Christmas Day last year, I lost my mother, so it really was the saddest Christmas I’ve ever had. This year will be my first time as an orphan because I also lost my father three months after Mama passed. The one thing I wish for is the gift of remembrance — to remember the values my parents taught me by sheer example, especially their lessons in generosity. They were both unfailingly generous mostly to those who could never reciprocate. I pray that God will give me the grace to honor them by granting me a heart that is generous not only during Christmas but in all the days of the year.
Trish Panlilio, nawwTy’s kitchen owner and chef, founder of The Gourmand Market
It’s been a year of tremendous blessings and opportunities. While the journey has been exhilarating and rewarding , I’m longing for some quiet time with my boys, some precious moments away together without the work or the chaos of the city. I’m wishing for a quiet, solemn Christmas holiday with my family.
John Herrera, fashion designer
A yoga and detox retreat!
Mikaela Martinez
More than the material things like jewelry or a new bag or pair of shoes what’s really in my, heart is for a healthy baby — six more months to go!
Beauty Gonzales, actress
Apart from world peace and a reduction of global warming, I would really love this amazingly tiny Azzedine Alaiia burgundy dress we saw at Dover Street Market. It will remind me of my upcoming New Year’s resolution to fit in it.
AC Legarda, Ayala Land Inc. executive
The simple joys I get from my kids and loved ones uplifts and renews me every day. Letters from my children, time with family and friends. These are gifts I want to receive, not only for Christmas but always.
Rep. Arthur Yap, Bohol, 3rd District
Healing and comfort for my dear mother who’s battling the big C for three years now.
Rep. Irwin Tieng, Buhay Partylist
This year, God has been very good to me, and I can’t ask for anything for myself. The only thing I could wish and pray for is my girlfriend Lady’s full recovery. She had a terrible accident last week. I’m thankful that she survived it, and is in high spirits.
Jack Salud, painter
I have always wished for it as a child, and I still want it as a grownup. I would love to have a flying car for Christmas just like the Jetsons. I have read that there is one called the Aeromobil that debuted last year at the Pioneers Festival in Vienna. Wouldn’t it be great if I could just hop in with my wife and kids in our pajamas and go on a quiet starry night adventure? Well, I have not been naughty, but super nice, Santa.
