What’s your favorite beach in the Philippines?
Lately, my children and I have been enjoying our travels around the country. I was never really a beach person but our recent trips made me rediscover and truly appreciate our magnificent beaches, which are truly world-class and a gift from God that we Filipinos can be proud of. My unsolicited advice, as we make plans for this summer break, please try to include a visit to the countryside to once again see for yourselves how beautiful our country is. Read on as some personalities share with us their favorite beach in the Philippines.

For me personally, I’d go with Boracay. Aside from the unforgettable sights, you can find people from all over the world walking the beach. The endless food options are also an added plus. Hopefully, I can bring my family there soon so we can enjoy the Bora experience together.
Angeles “Lingling” King, nature lover
Dicasalarin Bay, but there’s a small beach that is still uninhabited and very raw, which I think contributes to its beauty.

It’s actually quite hard choosing one specific beach as the best beach here in the Philippines because all of our beaches are beautiful in their own ways. But I would say that Mahabang Buhangin Beach in Calaguas Islands, Camarines Norte, Bicol and Banol Beach in Coron, Palawan are definitely two of my favorite beaches because of their peaceful, intact nature, fine white sand and crystal clear waters.

We are so blessed to have many of the world’s most beautiful beaches here in the Philippines. There are too many to choose from and each of them have their own unique charm. But if I had to pick out my favorite, it would be Malipano Island in Davao. Malipano is a private island beside Pearl Farm that houses seven themed water villas. It has the most beautiful beach with pristine white sand and crystal blue waters. I love that when we are there, it always feels like we are the only ones on the island. For me, it is the perfect place to get a tan, relax and enjoy sunset cocktails with friends and family. And with it being just a 40-minute boat ride from the city, it makes for the perfect quick weekend getaway.

Asking me what my favorite beach in the Philippines is a tough one. Being someone who adores the sea, sun and sand, I can say that there are many beaches in our country that have a special place in my heart. But, my top pick would have to be in the beautiful island of Coron, Palawan. It’s called Black Island. From the soft white sand, clear blue water, sky-high limestone and beautiful caves, this is a spot my family, friends and I make it a point to visit whenever we’re at Palawan.

Beaches in the islands of Calamian, northern Palawan. The more famous island is Coron, but some of the smaller islands have white sandy beaches that are isolated from the tourists. We have a local guide that takes us around to secret and best spots away from the tourists.
Zsa Zsa Padilla, singer/actress
For me, the best beach is Pangulasian in Palawan. What I love most of all is the privacy.
Pie Alvarez, Municipal Mayor, San Vicente, Palawan
I honestly have to vote San Vicente, Palawan as one of my favorite beaches. We have a coastline of 165 km. We have the most amazing private coves, long strips of white sand beaches.

The best beach in the Philippines is located in the town of Mauban, Quezon — the Cagbalete Island. A boat ride from the town, visitors will be delighted to stroll along magnificent powdery white sand, clear water and secluded resorts for privacy. Indeed a gem to be discovered in Quezon province.
Michelle Madrigal, actress
My all-time favorite beach in the Philippines is none other than Boracay. Despite of it being too commercialized, nothing beats the powder-white sand and clear turquoise water of Boracay. You can have the best of both worlds, party at night and some R&R during daytime.
