When art meets fashion

MANILA, Philippines - The Society for Cultural Enrichment Inc. (SCEI), in cooperation with the Ayala Museum, will have a benefit dinner-dance cum fashion show dubbed “When Art Meets Fashion.” The event will be held on June 25, 6 p.m. at the Rizal Ballroom of Makati Shangri-La.

Paintings of masters such as Fernando Amorsolo, Juan Luna and Damian Domingo as well as abstract paintings of Fernando Zobel from the Ayala Museum collection will serve as inspiration for the gowns designed by their chosen couturiers.

The proceeds of the evening event will be earmarked for cultural literacy improvement and art appreciation among public school teachers and schoolchildren, which is an ongoing and continuing advocacy of the club.

The core group organizer of the even is headed by its chairman and president Consul Helen Ong; vice chairman Dr. Jimmy Laya; Mimi Valerio; Tess Castro; Nonie Basilio; Marian Ong; Chacha Camacho; Roy Gonzales; Consul Agnes Huibonhoa and Consul Betty Chua.
