JobStreet.com offers job matching technique

MANILA, Philippines - Making online job search easier and more personalized, JobStreet.com recently launched its salary-matching technique to lead job seekers to their prefered jobs, faster and easier.

Once JobStreet.com subscribers are logged in, they can view jobs with salary information — indicating the salary amount range or whether the salary offered by the job is below, within or above their preferred salary. They can then choose to apply only to jobs that not only match their skills or work experience but also their salary expectation. This also increases their chances of getting considered for interview by  the company that posted the job advertisement.

The salary matching feature can also help JobStreet.com subscribers in gauging the prevailing salary range for the job they are currently in or they would like to apply to. This means they can make guided decisions on whether to stay in their current job or pursue a career in another company. The more job matches that fall within their preferred compensation range, the more employable they are.

To add to this is a predictive technology feature that is found in the job “suggestions” of a candidate’s homepage. All jobs listed in this section are based on the job browsing and application behavior — adding more intelligent job options to the JobStreet.com user.

These innovations are answers to a study conducted for JobStreet.com whereby 67 percent of the survey respondents from five key areas around the country — Metro Manila, Pampanga, Laguna, Cebu and Davao) said that “a good/high-paying salary makes them want to apply to a job.”

Last year, the job site launched its Rich Job Ad series — job advertisements that provide more relevant information not just limited to the usual job duties or responsibilities and candidate requirements.
