MANILA, Philippines - Jerome Bernardo “Jerby†Q. Corsiga, son of Dr. Jose Corsiga and Florence Corsiga, graduated with a management degree at San Beda College and is currently sales manager at Globe Telecom. Frances Leila Crisol, daughter of Teresita Crisol and the late Rodolfo Crisol, is a Psychology graduate of UP Diliman and now marketing manager of SM Hypermarket. Both wanting to pursue graduate studies, Jerby and Frances met as classmates at De La Salle Graduate School of Business. It was one of those classroom settings where the boy develops a crush on the girl but is careful that no one else notices. The two earned more than a master’s degree. In 15-minute breaks and group work, they developed a friendship that soon blossomed into love. Soon, Jerby and Frances found themselves in historic Intramuros for an old-Manila themed pre-nuptial photo shoot.
On October 18, the grand San Agustin Parish echoed with the heavenly hymns of Bukas Palad as Frances walked down the red carpet, sprinkled with petals and leading to a very emotional Jerby who cried during the ceremony. Yes, at this wedding, it was the groom who cried.
A shower of rose petals and red and white balloons, which were released into the air, met the newlyweds as they marched out of the church. Reception followed at the SMDC Showroom, the first time a wedding reception was held there. The godparents showed their full support, led by SM Food Retail Group vice chairman Herbert Sy.
The wedding’s entourage was made up of the most special people in the couple’s life: cord sponsors Andrei Florentino and Claudine Duyala; veil sponsors Paul Carcellar and the Danna Magnolia Bongon, the bride’s cousin; candle sponsors Bong David and Christine Joy Corsiga, the groom’s sister. The best man, who gave quite a toast to the newlyweds, was the groom’s twin brother Joachim Florencio Corsiga. The groomsman was Jerby’s brother Joel Rico Corsiga while his son Jose Antonio Corsiga was the coin bearer. The bridesmaids were the bride’s former officemates at Agatep Associates Sheila Ylagan and Laila Opina; the matrons of honor were Paula Angeli Crisol and Cherry Lyn Gernandizo. The flower girl was Ava Alexandra Crisol while the ring bearer was Pedro Alejandro Crisol.
The sumptuous food was catered by K by Cunanan Catering with draping by Sensitivity. Everything was caught on film by Paolo Feliciano Photography and Joel Salindong Video. Lovely music was played by Foxglove Acoustic while The Company’s own and Jerby’s cousin Nina Quintos-Uy performed. Of course, the Monina E Events team was there to ensure everything ran smoothly, from the preparations to the ceremony to the reception party.
A dinner-dance party was hosted by Ms. Philippines Earth 2006 Catherine U. Vital and the bride’s brother, ABS-CBN regional HR manager Arvin Crisol. The newlyweds and their guests could have danced all night.
