Angelo Licaros & Christina Young: A love that glows and grows in the dark

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Love is like fungi. Both are supposed to grow, even in the dark.” Thus said Arthur Young to the couple Angelo Licaros and Christina Young on the day of their wedding.

It was certainly a bright evening, with rainbow-colored flowers and hanging lanterns that seemed to dance with the breeze and gentle music, when Angelo and Christina pledged their vows of love after a seven-year relationship.

The heavenly setting was Angelfields in Silang, owned by the bride's uncle, Bernie Concepcion. Every detail — from the lovely choir songs that echoed through St. Benedict's Church in  Ayala West Grove Heights, to the lights illuminated by fireflies as guests dined on the sumptuous buffet by Bizu — was masterfully created by the bride's mother, Marie Young. The groom's parents, Abelardo and Nini Licaros, were profuse with thanks for such a dreamy event.

Wedding sponsors were Dr. Elenita Binay, Nene Leonor, Atty. Romy Salonga, Harry Liu, Benji Atilano, John Concepcion, Marissa Concepcion, Pia Young, Victoria Gabaldon and Fareed Ahamed.

Angelo, a business management graduate of Ateneo, works with his parents' real estate and manpower companies. Christine, who studied education at La Salle, is a head teacher at Beacon School.

“I love her because she's a level headed-person with goals. And she likes my sense of humor," said Angelo of Christina. The beautiful couple face a bright future, building their dream projects and nurturing their own children.
