Five ways of learning Math & English

MANILA, Philippines - Summer is here and students are excited to hit the beach or go out of town. To students, summer vacation means they stop studying, have fun, and just be kids. But to teachers, this means an uphill battle with the “summer slide.”

According to the National Summer Learning Association, all young people experience learning losses when they do not engage in educational activities during the summer. The Galileo Enrichment Learning Program underscores the importance of summer with two fun and exciting programs that will not only make children’s summer awesome, but also prepare them for the upcoming school year.

Galileo Math and English Summer Learning Experience – offered in April and May, students will engage in five ways of learning Math and English concepts where they will experience what it means to have fun while learning. Also offered is Singapore Math, which uses a strong emphasis on model drawing and problem solving.

Galileo Little Explorers: Summer Learning Camp – offered for children ages 1.5 to 4, it is a three-week summer program in two modules, which features a wide range of activities that include arts and crafts, storytelling, music and movement, numeracy, food preparation and outdoor play. The learning experiences will prepare your young tots for the big schools and further enhance their social skills. Module 1: April 1-19, and Module 2: April 29 to May 17.
