Good vibes for a good night. Welcome The Tim Yap Show!

SUPREMO - Tim Yap - The Philippine Star

I’ve got a feeling that every night’s gonna be a good night.

It starts by having a good day, a few rounds running around the Polo field to get the heart rate pumping. By sunrise I’m at the 99.5 PLAY FM booth talking about everything under the sun while playing the best music to get the good vibes pumped up into your systems early. Hooray to an early start of the day, indeed!

Lunch till afternoons are best spent being productive, meeting with like minded movers that make sure the scene is forever on an upward cycle of evolution. Evenings are for friends, catch up sessions with old buddies whose friendship has stood the test of time, or meeting up with new ones. One must always balance the old with the new. The new is needed for a fresh perspective on life, lest you become bitter and jaded. Constantly renew, refresh, reboot! Anyways, we always need new people to tell new stories about. The good ones.

Good stories about good people, that’s what The Tim Yap show is all about. People, that’s my passion. Bringing people together, my advocacy. Being more intimate with interesting people, that’s my nightly pastime. Catch your favorite stars,

news makers and social media shakers every night with me on The Tim Yap Show, which we launched formally via a viewing party a few weeks ago at the newly minted Cabana Club by Republiq inside ResortsWorld.. MIDNIGHT Screening

The viewing party slash birthday bash for the show gathered the scene’s hottest faces and a lot of dear friends who came for support. Co-executive producers Pepe Diokno and Jacko de Leon, along with the show’s staff entertained the guests~artists, writers, advertisers, network executives and bright young things all came for a show of hands to welcome the program. To all those who came, I am deeply grateful. TY, indeed.

The night’s color theme? Emerald green is the color of the year, so I thought it best to start the year and the show’s first season attracting the abundance that this color represents. My tradition of wearing Rajo Laurel in every turning point or birthday has drawn in more luck in my life, so I intend to keep it. That evening the heavenly beats at Cabana were supplied by DJ Nixdamn P, Mars Miranda and Martin Pulgar. Pernot Ricard kept everybody in high spirits, Manny O got us intoxicated with his award-winning wines and everyone went home with goodies from FILA, Zenzest, Pantene, SM Accessories, Freeway and Solo perfume.

We timed the screening exactly at midnight, the show’s actual airing. We made a mash up of previous episodes aired and showed a wide variety of subjects that the show covers. From Miss Universe first runner up Janine Tugonon to Dr. Vicki Belo, actresses Solenn Heussaff, Lovi Poe, Rhian Ramos and GMA Films president Annette Gozon-Abrogar. The interviews take place on a bed, so it gives the viewers a more relaxed and intimate feel, just the way I want it.

I ended the night by proposing a toast, to good vibes for a good night, just like the show’s slogan-my personal mantra as well. Just like the show, it was a perfect nightcap at the end of a busy day. Catch us every night, Monday to Friday midnight on GMA7!
