Claro M. Recto HS 1969 alumni homecoming

MANILA, Philippines - Claro M. Recto High School Class 1969 who graduated again, this time as the new senior citizens, will have their grand reunion on Saturday, February 2, at 5 p.m. at Shangri-La Restaurant, West Ave., Quezon City.

Sixty is the new 40, say the “sexi-genarians” who will be coming from across the cold north of North America, the warm Christmas winds of Australia, the gushing oil wells of the Middle East, and from the festive streets of Metro Manila for another kita-kits to relive those innocent, care-free days.

Under the leadership of ’69 alumna Emma Zamora-Mijares and and with loyal support from North American coordinator Tessie Mallari-Tacorda, Australia link Julie Mallari-Penano, and Metro Manila’s town crier (via Facebook) Lennie Padilla-Hernandez plus the many alumni volunteers, the reunion will not only showcase dancing, singing, laughter, and memories but will also be a celebration of the continuing success of the alumni’s scholarship program for deserving Recto high school students. Now in its 10th year, the program was born during the alumni’s kita-kits@50 in 2002.

Tickets for ‘69@60 reunion” are now available (call Lennie at 713-4373, text 0920-512-4332,   e-mail lenpadherdz@yahoo.com or visit CMRHS’69 Group at Facebook).
