Photog Foundation marks 25th anniversary

MANILA, Philippines - Filipinos’ interest in photography has dramatically increased as innovations are introduced by various social networking sites allowing users to post photographs without limits.

Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF) chairperson Eduviges “Edi” Huang said the introduction of high-tech gadgets also plays a big role in the increased enthusiasm of Filipinos for photography.

“Because of these high-tech gadgets, it is now easy for us to document what we see, including all the events and happenings in our lives,” Huang said.

The FPPF celebrated its 25th founding anniversary last October 20, capped by various activities held at its office in Fort Santiago, Intramuros, Manila.

The anniversary celebration kicked off with a fun run at 5 a.m., followed by the opening of a mini trade fair in Fort Santiago showcasing the latest cameras, accessories, and photo supplies from various commercial brands.

An auction of camera gear was also held during the fair, plus fun games, which were participated in by members of camera clubs in the Photo World Cup circuit and FPPF workshop graduates.
